By Ship
The vessel (Kalangala Ship) from Entebbe, Nakiwogo docking place leaves daily at 2.00 pm prompt, and arrives Lutoboka Dock at 5.00 pm. The voyage is three hours and gives the visitor a great experience of the country’s natural environment. The ship docks about 300 meters away from the Hotel, along the white sand beach.

The ship then leaves the next day in the morning for Entebbe (Nakiwogo pier) daily from Lutoboka (on the Island) at 8.00 am prompt and arrives at Nakiwogo about 11.00 am.

The ship has a capacity of 108 people maximum, and 8 small vehicles but less when it carries some big vehicles like lorries. Guests are advised to be at the docking station at least 30 minutes before departure.

Option 2 - By Road (Self Drive)
The route to the Island from Kampala to Bukakata is about 180 km. Then drive another 32 km from Bugoma to Kalangala District Headquarters.

Look out for Ssese Islands Beach Hotel road signs (Lutoboka bay). The ship takes 45 minutes crossing time to Ssese Islands (Buggala).
On Sunday the ship(one crossing)-1.00 p.m - 2.00 p.m

By Kalangala taxi -from the New Taxi Park Kampala-Masaka stage, all the way up to the Hotel.

NOTE:            Ferry timetable (Subject to change without notice) Monday –Saturday
It runs two trips a day(thus one trip per dock station), Monday to Saturday. And runs single trip on Sundays. Uganda Public Holidays same as Sunday.
